Day 1: Relax and get the vibe of Bali Nightlife

With spirits running high on your first day, it will be best to enjoy the nightlife.

Evening :
Explore the nearby beach clubs like Luna, Finns Beach Club or Potato Head Beach Club. Both offer stunning ocean views, a vibrant atmosphere, and live music.

Nightlife :
Head to Sky Garden or La Favela for a taste of Bali’s nightlife.

Day 2: Reach Ubud and enjoy the luxury

Transfer to Ubud and spend the day taking in the luxury bali has to offer. I’m sure you can use this day to get over the fantastic night you’ve had.

Travel :

Kuta to Ubud : 2-hour drive.

Day 3: Explore Ubud

Now that you are all relaxed, it’s time to put on your best outfit and get ready to take all those iconic ‘Bali photos’. Since everything is close by you can cover various spots in that area based on what you like. These are our top selections.

Activities :

Morning :
Visit Taman Beji Griya Waterfall for a serene spiritual waterfall bathing experience.

  • Travel Time : 30 minutes by car.
  • Cost : $5 entry fee.

Midday
Head to Cretya Ubud for lunch, a view of the rice terraces, and a Bali swing experience.

  • Travel Time : 20 minutes by car.
  • Cost : $30 per person for entry and swing.

Evening
Visit Heaven’s Gate (Lempuyang Temple) for a magical sunset view.

  • Travel Time : 1.5 hours by car.

Day 4: Adventure in Ubud

Activities :

Early Morning
Mount Batur sunrise hike (Depart at 2 AM).

  • Travel Time : 1.5 hours to the base.

Late Morning
Visit Kanto Lampo Waterfall or Tegenungan Waterfall for a refreshing dip.

Day 5: Nusa Penida Day Trip

Activities :

While it’s very difficult to see everything in Nusa Penida in a day. To be honest, if you have the time, spend some nights here. Nonetheless, I’m highlighting the few spots that took our breath away. 

1. Diamond Beach
  • Highlight: Pristine white sand beach with stunning turquoise waters and dramatic cliff views. The beach is accessed via a steep staircase, but the view is worth it.
  • Best Time to Visit: Early morning or late afternoon to avoid crowds and get the best lighting for photos.
  • Cost: Around IDR 10,000 (about $0.70) for entrance fee.
  • Tips: Wear good shoes for the steep descent and carry some water. Be cautious on the stairs as they can be slippery.
 
2. Atuh Beach
  • Highlight: Quiet, picturesque beach with crystal-clear water and interesting rock formations. Great for swimming and relaxing.
  • Best Time to Visit: Early morning or late afternoon.
  • Cost: IDR 10,000 (about $0.70) for entrance fee.
  • Tips: Check the tides; it’s best visited when the tide is lower to enjoy the beach fully.
 
3. Keling King Beach (Kelingking Beach)
  • Highlight: Famous for its T-Rex-shaped cliff and breathtaking views. The beach below can be reached by a challenging hike.
  • Best Time to Visit: Early morning to avoid the crowds and get the best views.
  • Cost: IDR 10,000 (about $0.70) for entrance fee.
  • Tips: Wear sturdy shoes for the hike down to the beach. Be careful on the cliffside paths.
 
4. Broken Beach (Pasih Uug)
  • Highlight: A unique natural archway with a stunning blue lagoon inside. Great for photos and marveling at nature’s wonders.
  • Best Time to Visit: Mid-morning for the best lighting.
  • Cost: IDR 10,000 (about $0.70) for entrance fees.
  • Tips: The area can be windy, so hold onto your belongings. Swimming is not allowed due to strong currents.
5. Angel’s Billabong
  • Highlight: A natural infinity pool with crystal-clear water. Ideal for a refreshing dip and incredible photos.
  • Best Time to Visit: Early morning or late afternoon.
  • Cost: IDR 10,000 (about $0.70) for entrance fee.
  • Tips: Check the tide schedule as the pool is best visited when the tide is low. Be cautious as the rocks can be slippery.
 
6. Rumah Pohon Tree House
  • Highlight: A charming treehouse offering panoramic views of the surrounding landscape. Perfect for a unique photo opportunity.
  • Best Time to Visit: Early morning or late afternoon.
  • Cost: IDR 20,000 (about $1.40) for entrance fee.
  • Tips: The treehouse is quite popular, so consider going early to avoid crowds. It’s a bit of a climb, so wear comfortable shoes.
 
7. 1000 Islands Viewpoint
  • Highlight: Offers sweeping views of Nusa Penida and the surrounding islands. A great spot for panoramic photos.
  • Best Time to Visit: Late afternoon for sunset views.
  • Cost: IDR 10,000 (about $0.70) for entrance fee.
  • Tips: Bring a good camera and enjoy the stunning vistas.
 
8. Amok Sunset
  • Highlight: A picturesque spot for watching the sunset with a panoramic view. A perfect end to your day.
  • Best Time to Visit: About an hour before sunset.
  • Cost: IDR 20,000 (about $1.40) for entrance fee.
  • Tips: Arrive early to get a good spot and bring some snacks or drinks to enjoy while waiting.
 

General Tips for Your Trip:

  • Transportation: Renting a scooter is a popular and convenient way to get around, but make sure you’re comfortable with scooter riding. Alternatively, hire a driver for a more relaxed experience.
  • Cash: Carry sufficient cash, as not all places accept cards.
  • Safety: Always be cautious near cliff edges and while hiking. Follow local advice and guidelines.
  • Sun Protection: Bring sunscreen, a hat, and sunglasses. The sun can be quite intense.
  • Water: Stay hydrated by carrying a reusable water bottle. There are shops and small warungs (local eateries) where you can refill or purchase water.
  • Clothing: Wear comfortable, light clothing suitable for hot weather and sturdy footwear for exploring.

Day 6: Thrills in Ubud

Activities

Morning
ATV ride through the jungle and rice fields.

  • Travel Time : 20 minutes by car.

Afternoon
Drive to Seminiyak or explore a little bit of Ubud and then head to Seminiyak

Travel time : 2 hours

Optional activities like a cooking class or visit to the Ubud Monkey Forest.

Approx. Cost : $10 for Monkey Forest; $30 for a cooking class.

Day 7: Uluwatu Adventure

Travel :

Seminiyak to Uluwatu : 2-hour drive.

Activities

Morning
Relax at Suluban Beach.

  • Travel Time : 15 minutes by car from Uluwatu.
  • Cost : Free entry.

Afternoon :
Visit Uluwatu Temple for stunning ocean views.

  • Travel Time : 10 minutes by car.
  • Cost : $5 entry fee.

Evening :

Party at Savaya, a cliff-top club with ocean views.

Day 8: Last Day in Bali

Activities :

Morning :
Shopping in Seminyak. Visit Seminyak Square or Oberoi Street for boutiques and souvenirs.

Private 3-hour sunset cruise.
